About The Event

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Matthew Breuninger (Psy.D., Franciscan University) on ways to cultivate a life of learning and virtues for your children. Co-sponsored and hosted by Founders Classical Academy of Leander, this evening will be a rich dialogue on character education beyond the classroom.

What challenges come with a classical education? What does it mean to be a well-formed child? What if the parents did not have a classical education? Dr. Breuninger’s talk will focus on some of these challenges and the great possibilities for classical education in the home, not just the classroom.

When: Thursday, April 26th at 7:00 PM

Where: Founders Classical Academy of Leander, Upper School Library, 1303 Leander Dr.

Who: Matthew Breuninger is an assistant professor of psychology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He received his Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Baylor University as well as an M.A. in Theology from Ave Maria University. His research interests lie generally in psychology of religion, how churches perceive and address mental illness, religious and spiritual

struggles, and clinical disorders. When not teaching or researching, he enjoys fishing and hiking in the mountains of Pennsylvania with his family.
