The "disenchanted age" we now live in often privileges facts and information over less measurable learning. But what if something profoundly necessary is lost along the way? What would it mean for wisdom and wonder to play a real role in education?

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Bethany Hebbard exploring the promise of "fairy tales," for the young and old alike, to better know reality. Co-sponsored and hosted by Founders Classical Academy in Leander, this discussion will help us rethink the role of imagination in learning.

Who: Dr. Bethany Hebbard received her Ph.D. in English from Baylor University in 2012. In 2015, she left an academic teaching post and returned to Texas to join her husband, Steven, at Community First! Village, a master-planned community for the formerly homeless in east Austin. There, Bethany directs the Community Corps, a missional volunteer training program integrating service, spiritual formation, and life in community.
