About The Event

  • Each Colloquium takes place at the Austin Institute on the first Thursday of every month. We begin with a 20-minute introduction by a guest speaker — someone with deep interest and knowledge in the topic at hand. From there, we move into 40 minutes of open discussion, where participants and speaker alike are invited to think aloud, ask questions, and exchange ideas in a spirit of seriousness, curiosity, and mutual respect.

  • Afterward, all attendees are invited to continue the conversation over pizza and drinks in a relaxed, informal setting. It’s a chance to connect, unwind, and keep exploring big questions together.

  • Attendance is free, but space is limited. Advance registration is required.

  • No prior reading or preparation is needed — just bring your mind, and your appetite for both pizza and life's big questions.
