About The Event
In The Desecration of Man, Carl Trueman traces our modern crisis of meaning to a single, profound rejection: that man was made in the image of God. As church attendance declines, suicide rates rise, and birth rates fall, Trueman argues that the root cause runs deeper than disenchantment or the loss of tradition. Cut loose from the moral foundation that secures human dignity, we have turned against our own minds and bodies, with devastating spiritual and practical consequences. Drawing on church history and philosophical insight, Trueman points toward consecration to a living God as the path forward, reminding us that the Early Church triumphed over Rome by offering life in place of death and that modern Christians are called to do the same.
