About The Event
The Good Life reading group is Austin’s local professionals' best bet for finding both intellectual stimulation and friendship. In its 6th edition, this bimonthly reading group has given birth to a community of people who are unafraid of discussing the most controversial and even intimate topics: all around a shared table and with a genuine spirit of truth-seeking.
For our next adventure, our group will return to G.K. Chesterton and to his What I Saw in America, originally published in 1922. Through a series of insightful essays, the author offers his distinctive observations on American life, culture, and character, all delivered with his trademark wit, humor, and keen eye for the unexpected. Together, we’ll discuss his reflections, share our perspectives, and enjoy engaging conversation about America through the eyes of one of our book club's most beloved authors. Our meeting dates are Monday, November 23; Monday, December 14; and Monday,…
