About the Austin Institute colloquia:

  • Each Colloquium takes place at the Austin Institute on the first Thursday of every month. We begin with a 20-minute introduction by a guest speaker — someone with deep interest and knowledge in the topic at hand. From there, we move into 30 minutes of open discussion, where participants and speaker alike are invited to think aloud, ask questions, and exchange ideas in a spirit of seriousness, curiosity, and mutual respect.
