About The Event
Join Professors Dan Bonevac and Rob Koons (both of UT’s philosophy department) for a four-week discussion of the first division of Heidegger’s Being and Time, one of the most influential, controversial, and challenging texts of the 20th century. Heidegger grapples with an important and elusive question: in doing philosophy, where may we legitimately begin? What, if anything, can we take for granted? Heidegger offers an alternative to the scientism that has dominated much of Western philosophical thought for the last 300 years.
Dates: Tuesdays, March 20, 27, and April 3, 10
