About The Event

Reading always frees us because it broadens our lives, feeds our imagination, and tests our convictions by bringing us closer to the truth. If you want to discover new horizons and discuss ideas with other undergraduates, join this book club. The first book we will read is: Why We Drive: Toward a Philosophy of the Open Road by Matthew B Crawford.

"Matthew Crawford’s heartfelt riposte to a ‘smart’ future of driverless cars is persuasive and thought-provoking. ... A vivid and heartfelt manifesto against the drift of our world, against the loss of individual agency and the human pleasure of acquired skill and calculated risk." — The Guardian
